Series Spotlight & Track Back Story

Key Challenges & Driving Notes

Road America is one of the most demanding and respected road courses in North America. High-speed sections like The Kink test commitment and car stability, while Canada Corner (Turn 12) and Turn 5 are popular overtaking zones due to their heavy braking requirements. Turn 13, known as Bill Mitchell Bend, sets up the run back to the main straight and demands precision. The elevation changes throughout the lap require careful management of braking points and weight transfer, especially in the fast downhill sections. Car setup needs to balance low-drag for the straights and enough downforce for the technical mid-section.

Series Spotlight & Track Back Story

Located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Road America has remained virtually unchanged since its debut in 1955—one of the few circuits worldwide to keep its original layout. The 4-mile track has hosted everything from IndyCar and IMSA to MotoAmerica, Trans-Am, and NASCAR. Nestled in Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine region, the track blends natural beauty with racing heritage. Events here attract fans from across the Midwest, and its open seating and hillside viewing areas create an iconic spectator experience. Whether you're watching a vintage race or modern prototypes cresting the hill toward Turn 1, Road America delivers pure motorsport nostalgia and top-tier competition.
